I bled for you this month.
Stabbed that needle straight into the pad of my thumb. I couldn’t scream cause I currently have no voice due to some other fun illness issues.
This month’s challenge is a layered sewn cuff. The original design is intended as a way to show off metal clay button and discs. Well, my work space is in no shape to break out the metal clay just yet. So instead I layered up some pieces I already had.

I think I met the spirit of the piece, even though I didn’t make any metal clay discs for it.
Several years ago I purchased some 99 cent leather pants from Goodwill for costuming and craft purposes. I used that leather as the base. I had a colorful silk tie that I layered over the leather for more color. Some sequined ribbon, and then the silk leaves, and metal pieces.

I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out.
Things I would change: I wouldn’t make the cuff so wide, and I would get embroidery floss for the stitching-if its going to be seen, let it be seen.
