Making Magnets

Turning computer prints into glass magnets is relatively cheap and easy.

Materials
• Printouts of your image  (ok you can use cut-outs from magazines, but I’m making swag for a writer, so everything has to be the same promo image)
• Glass bubbles they use in florist arrangements, size medium/large
• Mod Podge
• a paintbrush
• craft magnets
• strong glue, I will use silicon glue

The promo image was designed in Photoshop, and I used my 1 inch round paper punch to cut them out

Prepare to have sticky gluey fingers!
The 1-inch rounds are perfect circles, the glass bubbles are not. I had to press the edges down more than a few times. Glue the image to the glass with a full layer of glue, then seal the image back down to the glass.

Remember to wash out your paintbrush.

Let dry. Then I clean up the front of the glass. I do this with a barely damp cloth- I don’t want anything getting wet, so barely damp.

Glue the magnet to the back with the stronger glue. I use E-6000.

Let them dry/set for at least 24 hours before using.
