Admittedly I made this piece a few years before I undertook the personal challenge to complete all the projects in the book Enchanted Adornments.
But that goes to show you I have been influenced and working on projects from the book ever since I first got my hands on it.
I made this locket in 2012. I can date it based on the hinge and the bail. In March of 2012, I took a CraftCast class by Wanaree Tanner on hinged books, and I immediately began making hinges like mad!
I made several fairy door lockets influenced by the piece in the book.
Some of my first attempt at hinges were for this project. Unfortunately, I cannot locate any photos I may have taken of those pieces
I even made a few door-free gateway pendants such as this Persian themed pendant.
The locket from the book is much more detailed and intricate. You can see it here on the cover of the book with added jewels, and made into a full necklace.
