I finished the next pendant in the Enchanted Challenge. I followed the instructions as if they were guidelines. The metal clay portion of this – the bail and frame were built ahead of time.
Instead of excising designs into the polymer clay I used a stamp to press in the swirls. And instead of backfilling the indents with more clay I used guilder’s wax. I also used a small glass disk instead of creating a miniature painting and filling the gap with resin.
In the end, it’s a lovely pendant. I’m not sure how I will string it. To me, it wants to be solo on a copper chain, and be layered as an accent to a more elabroate neclace, as opposed to being strung with lots of extra dangly bits. Who knows how I will finish this.
