A few years ago my website (the previous incarnation of this website) suffered what can only be described as a catastrophic technological breakdown.
It went offline when the server it was on also went offline. There was no warning from the folks managing the servers, they just shut it all down (yeah, I’m bitter).
It impacted several of my websites. Several of the micro businesses I was keeping limping along. And it made the decision for me to what the end game for those projects needed to be.
Unfortunately it also messed up my emails, and to this day I don’t know how to get into what had been my primary email for years and years. I lost access to accounts like CafePress, and Spoonflower because passwords have changed, and the recovery email, well it got lost in the server shut down.
I had some help in the “recovery” process. But I still needed to do so much of the rebuilding. 2023-24 was not the year for me to be doing that.
I’m finally coming out of that situation, and have started the rebuild process. Hopefully I can get most, if not all of the previous blog posts resurrected as well. Let’s be honest, it’s a time situation, as in it will take a lot of it.
