I like to make things with my hands, and am fairly “crafty.” My skills include sewing and making jewelry. I enjoy working with art clays: specifically polymer clay and metal clays. I have added in wire wrapping skills to complement and enhance my work with the clays. You can see a selection of my work in the gallery on my Jewelry and Small Sculpture page. I have won awards for both graphic and jewelry design.
I am a professionally trained designer, in other words, I went to art school to learn Graphic Design. I have specialized in Adobe Photoshop since the early 1990s. My design work spans from front-end web design to layout design, logos, and illustration for print. I excel in creating visual representations of complex concepts. Currently, I focus my design work on Book Cover Designs.
I unexpectedly stumbled into designing coloring books after looking for something to do with all the octopus pictures I had drawn. I have always been a color-er and was thrilled it became popular with adults. My designs are like me, not exactly typical. Please check out the Coloring Books page for details on my various books.
I am a natural red-head, I am not soul-less, but I will steal yours given the chance. Too much, huh? Feisty, check, burn to a crisp in the sun, check, relentlessly asked if its natural, check. I’m a little bit fantasy, a little bit goth, a tad of steam-punk, and a sprinkling of whimsy, and before I start to sound like a theme song from the Donny and Marie variety show, you should know in my youth I was a sci-fi and punk geek, I still am. I believe in a Star Trek future.
Kermit the Frog, Mr. Rogers, Reading Rainbow, Crocodile Hunter, and Gomez Addams are all example of loving unapologetically, something we should all strive for.
I tend to babble too much about arts and crafts and growing a small business on Instagram, and the Pithy Art Blog. I hope you decide to follow along ;).
